When you go on holiday to a campsite, you don’t know what to cook due to a lack of groceries and equipment in the mobile home kitchen. With little or no cooking or equipment, here is a selection of practical, easy and quick recipes to make so that you can eat well while enjoying your camping holiday!
Don’t even need the oven
At the campsite, we have very few means and a kitchen often reduced to the bare minimum with a small hotplate or microwave oven. As you will have understood, this is not the ideal time to make a dessert or a very elaborate dish. Nevertheless, there is something to enjoy thanks to the no-cook dishes. And we can’t help but think of the unbeatable salad! Based on starchy foods, legumes or raw vegetables, you don’t need a fully equipped kitchen to make it. The advantage with the mixed salad is that it can be varied endlessly and will be even better the next day, so prepare it in large quantities. You can put whatever you want in it and it will be very popular in the middle of summer. The sandwich will also do very well at the campsite. With family or friends, it will be a hit with everyone. Quick and easy to make, compose it as you wish.
We don’t worry about it
When you’re on vacation, you want to relax and not spend an eternity behind the stove. But you still want to please everyone with simple, summery recipes that require few ingredients. What if we made an aperitif dinner with simple recipes for the whole family? Make way for dips, rillettes, or even guacamole. A summery and family aperitif will be perfect for a vacation meal at the campsite. Eggs are also the perfect solution if you don’t know what to prepare to eat and have few utensils. As good in the morning as at lunchtime, in an omelette or between two pieces of baguette, they are a lifesaver on vacation. If the vacation is coming to an end and you have to watch your wallet, then canned goods will be your allies. By simply opening a can of tuna at the campsite, you will have plenty of recipe ideas to make. The advantage with the latter is that it does not keep cool and does not require cooking. Economical and easy to vary, tuna will also be good in pasta, salads or sandwiches. With all these varied recipes, you will experience friendly moments around a pretty camping table.
