Here is the best supermarket butter

60 Million Consumers has voted the best butter in the supermarket in France, and the first prize goes to a churned butter. A product made using traditional methods, involving a longer creation time in several stages, and without pasteurization. In France, in factories, only 10% of butters are still made this way. The product chosen by the magazine therefore stands out from more industrial productions, which could satisfy more than one.

Le Gall butter, the best supermarket butter

The best supermarket butter, according to 60 Million Consumers, is the churned butter from the Le Gall brand. This butter was chosen in particular for its artisanal production based on raw milk, without pasteurization, which would give it a beautiful aromatic palette. A result made possible in particular by the maturation time of the cream, between 10 and 20 hours. During this manufacturing process, the butter develops 100% natural and very pronounced aromas.

The absence of pasteurization mentioned above, however, results in a shorter shelf life for this butter. Instead of being consumable for 8 weeks, it would be better to start it before 3 weeks following purchase. The cause? The pasteurization process consists of heating the milk to 75°C for a few seconds, so as to eliminate all traces of bacteria and germs. A way of extending the shelf life of the manufactured product over a longer period.

Le Gall butter comes in several versions: sweet or salted butter, semi-salted or even organic. Enough to delight fans of this product!
