Often criticized or singled out for its quality, it is still possible to find good salmon if you know how to choose it well! In the meantime, on the plate, it finds its place in different forms which delight gourmets. Smoked, cooked or raw, we are spoiled for choice, even if it is not always easy to know how to pair it well, here are our recommendations.
First of all, smoked salmon is a tender dish whose aromas are persistent in the mouth. It therefore needs a fresh and mineral white wine with substance. But a Chablis or a Sauvignon de Loire will also be perfect with smoked salmon pancakes!
CHABLIS 2016 – WHITE
Salmon en papillote is a tasty and intense dish on the palate whose melting texture calls for a powerful white wine like a Bordeaux Sauvignon or a Chablis grand cru.
CHÂTEAU LE PRIEUR WHITE 2016 – WHITE
A specialty of French gastronomy, salmon tartare is a delicate and spring dish that a Riesling will perfectly enhance.
