This year for the holidays, we want to end on a light note. And since impossible is not French, here are 11 fruity and vitamin-filled ideas to enjoy and eat a balanced diet.
The three-chocolate log and its creamy icing will not have a place on the Christmas table this time! We prefer desserts that are just as delicious, but much lighter, to finish the New Year’s Eve meal on a sweet and airy note. We therefore favor recipes based on fruit, which we accompany with Christmas shortbread, corollas, or even tuiles for the crunchy side. We thus obtain fresh creations, beautifully presented and combining several textures.
Which fruits for a light festive dessert?
We succumb to citrus fruits in chic and gourmet salads, we love the Granny apple and we love pineapple and mango, which go wonderfully with our festive desserts. If we want to end our Christmas menu with the traditional Yule log, we opt for an iced and/or cookie-free alternative. Otherwise, we prepare magnificent individual charlottes with candied chestnuts and tart apples. Enough to delight guests and impress them with an original, chic and balanced dessert. We can also innovate by revisiting the classic financier recipe, by opting for a green tea version. And for a festive dessert, we dress it with a superb yuzu and coconut milk dome. Treating yourself to lighter desserts at Christmas is possible. So, we start to enjoy ourselves, and we forget to feel guilty!
