A pivotal month between spring and the summer season, June already has a taste of vacation!
Seasonal products on the menu
If spring fruits and vegetables are always on the menu – between green asparagus, artichokes, strawberries, rhubarb and cherries – summer products are also on the doorstep and mix happily on the plate. Refreshing cucumber; chubby tomatoes; generous eggplant; addictive pepper; and stunning watermelon, can be integrated in touches or in total look into our menus. Whatever June fruits and vegetables you choose, they will provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals to our plate and our body.
The salad queen
As soon as the sunny days return, the salad takes center stage. Whether it's based on pasta, rice, potatoes, topped with meat, fish, cheese, grilled vegetables, aromatic herbs, crunchy nuts, or all of the above, salad is the constant on hot days. To be sure to achieve a result that meets your expectations, focus on the contrasts in your dish: hot/cold; raw/cooked; melting cheese / crunchy oilseeds; assertive charcuterie / sweet apple, etc. What we like in a mixed salad is the diversity of textures, colors, and tastes.
Glory at the picnic
Always in keeping with the beautiful days of June, a picnic is a good idea when the weather permits. For a stunning spring picnic, we rely on the essentials: sandwiches; breadsticks; homemade spreads; meatballs and falafels; savory and sweet biscuits; prepared salads ; savory and sweet cakes; without forgetting detox waters to hydrate. However, avoid seasoning your salad in advance to avoid “cooking” it; and dishes and desserts with sauce or garnished with cream, which may leak.
