This is very sad news for all food lovers. The journalist and culinary critic Jean-Luc Petitrenaud died in Paris on January 10, at the age of 74. An emblematic figure of gastronomy, he presented the television programs “Carte poste gourmande” and “Les escapades de Petitrenaud” for many years.

It was his children Antonin and Louise Petitrenaud who learned of their father’s death from the AFP. The host died “surrounded by his loved ones”. And his children “thank the people who loved him so much during these years”, specifies AFP. Jean-Luc Petitrenaud, born in December 1950, has seduced a generation of enthusiasts. At a very young age, he learned the culture of “eating well” and developed a love for local cuisine.
Jean-Luc Petitrenaud, a busy career
In the 1990s, he became a gastronomic critic for Radio France and Radio Suisse Romande. Throughout his career, he has hosted various shows on television and radio, such as “Les escapades de Petitrenaud”, broadcast on France 5. Alongside, he also published several works such as “Le guide du cassier -crust” (1992), and “My good fork strokes” (2001).
