No need to multiply knives to cook well. With the Juste Opinel duo, the Savoyard brand, renowned for its pocket knives, offers a minimalist box composed of two essentials: a paring knife and a Santoku. Designed with the Big-Game design studio, this set focuses on versatility, comfort in handling and French manufacturing to support both first steps in the kitchen and more experienced cooks.

The paring knife is the companion for meticulous cutting. Its short, pointed blade makes it easier to peel, cut small vegetables and perform actions that require precision and maneuverability.

Alongside it, the Santoku, whose name means “three virtues” in Japanese, takes care of more important preparations. Its versatile blade allows you to slice vegetables, cut boneless meats, slice raw fish or chop aromatic herbs. It lends itself as well to a push cut as to a pendulum movement. Its width finally makes it easier to transfer cut food from the board to the container or pan.

Together, these two knives cover 95% of everyday tasks in the kitchen. A proposal particularly suitable for students, young people who are equipping themselves, beginners or those who want to go to the essentials in their everyday kitchen or their vacation home.

Both blades are made of XCrMoV15 stainless steel, with a hardness of 58 HRC, for good corrosion resistance and long-lasting cutting quality. Their rounded back avoids sharp edges. The ergonomic handles are made from recycled polypropylene reinforced with 30% fiberglass, a robust and easy-to-maintain material.

Another well-thought-out detail: the V-Grip profile, which promotes a “pinch” grip, with the thumb and index finger positioned close to the blade to gain control and precision.
