We’re starting February with a bang. On the way !

This week, we always warm up with the fruits and vegetables of February to experience winter with delicacy. If Candlemas last weekend brought us its share of delicacies, this week we are experiencing another celebration, February 10 with the Chinese New Year. The opportunity to discover or rediscover the step by step of fried peanut dumplings, delicious sweet bites that symbolize wealth.

Your shopping list for the week

We slide different into our basket vegetables and herbs : broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, shiitake, carrots, zucchini, spring onions, onions, shallot, and garlic. Without forgetting the aromatic herbs with coriander, parsley, mint and thyme.

We continue with the fruits : yellow and green lemons, oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, apples, and bananas.

Then stop at the department butcher’s shop for chicken breasts and ground pork.

Followed by the fish shop for the shrimp and tuna belly.

For the cheeses and dairy productsthe list is long: Comté, Saint-Nectaire, thick and liquid cream, butter, fresh goat’s cheese and parmesan.

Flour, coconut sugar, baking chocolate, grated coconut, cashew nuts, peanuts, orange blossom water and honey will be necessary for the desserts and pastries.

Concerning I’grocery store, we select Udon noodles, macaroni, rice vermicelli, chickpeas, mung bean sprouts, brick and rice leaves, Thai rice, coconut milk, tahini, tomato paste, candied lemon, soy sauce and coconut cream. To be completed with smoked paprika and ginger for spices and olive and sesame oil.

We don’t forget the eggs. And we finish with sandwich bread and puff pastry for the bakery part.
