Menu of the week: recipe ideas from Monday January 20 to Sunday January 26

January is underway… and comforting winter recipes are more relevant than ever!

While this Monday, January 20 is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year – also called “Blue Monday” or one of the most fabulous marketing stunts of an airline – we opt for recipes that are more than gourmet . Processed cheese, chocolate dessert, generous soups, all the flavors of winter are present in our recipes of the week.

My shopping list for the week

Side vegetablesplace the following ingredients in your basket: white and red cabbage, celeriac, potatoes, cauliflower, baby spinach, mixed greens, shallots, kale, pumpkin, red chicory, baby spinach, carrots , Chinese cabbage, onions, garlic, without forgetting a ginger root.

For the aromatic herbswe take parsley, chives, thyme and coriander.

Apples, yellow and green lemons, oranges, grapefruits and tangerines are worth noting for the fruits. We don’t forget the nuts on the side of oilseed.

On the shelf meat and cold cutswe choose smoked bacon, white ham, pork stir-fry, bacon and sausages.

Side seawe opt for cod and white fish.

Regarding the dairy productsthe list is long: morbier, butter, crème fraîche and liquid, cream cheese, goat’s cheese, parmesan, beaufort, blue cheese, milk, rocamadour and fresh goat’s cheese.

For the cakes, desserts and pastries of the week, you will need dark chocolate, brown sugar, orange marmalade, flour, honey, almond milk and chestnuts.

On the shelf grocery storewe buy tahini, arborio and round rice, cornille beans, chickpeas, olive and walnut oil, cider vinegar, mustard, lupine seeds, chicken stock and sweet soy sauce.

For the spiceswe take cumin, fennel, poppy, sesame and turmeric seeds.

For the drinks and alcoholwe choose orange juice, white wine and cider.

We finish with a box ofeggsas well as country breadbaguette, brioche and puff pastry.
