Autumn is coming to the table!
With the days getting shorter and temperatures dropping, there’s nothing better than comforting fall recipes to warm you up. This week, autumn vegetables are appearing on our plates: soups, gratins, stews or even autumn salads, they are suitable for all tastes. Autumn fruits are far from being left out: figs, apples, pears or oranges form the basis of our sweet treats and other delicacies. Add a pinch of cloves, a dash of maple syrup or a touch of cinnamon and you have delicious fall creations.

My shopping list for the week
This week, at the greengrocer, we put chanterelles, carrots, arugula, young shoots, spinach shoots, spring onions, celery stalks, fennel, beets, kohlrabi, endives, fingerling potatoes, squash in our basket. butternut, pumpkin, cauliflower, red peppers, shallots, garlic and onions. For fruit, you will need grapes, oranges, apples, figs, pears, apples, passion fruit, bananas, lemons and limes. We especially don’t forget the fresh herbs: chives, bay leaf, thyme, rosemary, basil, verbena, mint, coriander.
A quick detour to the butcher to pick up some white and serrano ham, smoked bacon, ground beef and pork sausages. Then go to the fishmonger and get some salmon fillets. At the bakery, add country bread to your basket.
Then, head to the salty grocery store to get spices: oregano, cinnamon, nutmeg, fennel and mustard seeds, curry leaves, fenugreek, cumin, Espelette pepper, coriander and five-spice. We continue by taking hazelnuts, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, lasagna sheets, coral lentils, carnaroli rice, chickpeas, sesame paste, coconut milk and cream, polenta, breadcrumbs. Let’s move on to the sweet grocery store with agave syrup, icing, brown and coconut sugar, coffee extract, powdered almonds and hazelnuts, orange blossom water, honey, dark chocolate, brown sugar, and coffee.
Stop at the fresh produce section to pick up feta, ricotta, parmesan, grated and whole emmental, milk, thick and liquid cream, full-fat white cheese, Greek yogurt, unsalted and semi-salted butter, plenty, monk’s head, fourme d’Ambert, rocamadours and shortcrust pastry.
Finally, go to the frozen section for some vanilla ice cream.
