In the middle of the holiday period, what could be better than a cold aperitif with your family to celebrate summer? Presentation and recipes.
When it comes to preparing a homemade appetizer, anything goes. Crostinis, mini-skewers, croquettes or even tortizza… The golden rule being of course, tasting by hand. For a quick aperitif, simply arrange our favorite ingredients on pieces of bread, crackers or toast for example. You can also serve dip sauces such as guacamole, tarama, tapenade or hummus in aperitif glasses, accompanied by chips or raw vegetables cut into sticks. Every time, presentation is just as important as taste. So, don’t hesitate to use toothpick-type sticks, glasses, small colored bowls, or even serve everything on a platter.
What ingredients for my summer aperitif?
For an aperitif that ends a day under the sun in style, we of course turn to seasonal products. In the middle of August, there are lots of fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs on the stalls, so why not take advantage of them? Figs, peaches, blueberries, basil or even cherry tomatoes, to integrate into sweet and savory appetizers for a touch of freshness. With its mild and sweet taste, figs, for example, are often paired with characterful cheeses such as goat’s cheese or Fourme d’Ambert.
