Whether roasted or mixed in sauce, peanuts are one of the oilseeds we love!
Famous in their “peanut butter” version, dear to Americans and everyone else, peanuts have many health benefits, particularly concerning the intestinal microbiome, that is to say all the bacteria in our intestines that must be balanced. As our colleague explains, good luck with peanuts that should be consumed regularly. The latter promote the “good bacteria” participating in the creation of beneficial fatty acids for our intestinal cells, having an impact on the good metabolism of the liver and immune function.
Also, as recommended by Jessie Inchauspé aka Glucose Goddess, you should always consume fat with sugar to temper glucose spikes, which are harmful to the body, among other tips. So, don’t hesitate to enjoy a nice spoonful of peanut butter — 100% peanuts is better —, rich in protein but also in fiber, when you enjoy a fruit as a snack for example.
Salty peanuts
Peanuts are a popular dessert and main course! In fact, this nut is featured in the famous satay or saté sauce, originally from Southeast Asia, or African mafé, originally from Mali. While peanuts are perfect in a sauce version, we also think of them in a crushed or simply grilled version. Indeed, they add a lot of crunch and texture to meat or a simple vegetable puree.
