What's tastier than a delicious homemade pizza? A seasonal homemade pizza of course! Asparagus, spinach, artichokes… Here are 14 recipes for this Italian classic with spring flavors.
What ingredients for my spring pizza?
If the secret to a successful homemade pizza lies in the quality of its dough, the topping is just as important. When it comes to cheese, many combinations are possible. In addition to the essential mozzarella, some opt for goat cheese, ricotta, or even parmesan. For a spring pizza, we of course turn to seasonal products such as asparagus, spinach, peas or tomatoes which arrive on the shelves from April, and add flavor and color to our recipes. Indeed, seasonal fruits and vegetables are better for the environment but also act in line with the nutritional needs of the human body. Top it all off with a homemade tomato sauce, pesto or mushroom cream before putting it in the oven. For a touch of freshness, sprinkle it with herbs, and for a pizza that smells of Italy, add a few slices of prosciutto or other Italian hams of your choice. Want a pizza ready in 5 minutes flat? We then opt for the tortizza, made from a tortilla covered with filling.
