Quicker than cooking on the barbecue, but also healthier and less bulky, the plancha is a summer must to integrate without restraint into all meals and festive occasions.
In the kitchen, the plancha is a bit like the “raclette of summer”. Easy to make, space-saving, this small cooking plate allows you to cook any food in your kitchen. The little extra? The plancha requires only a little fat, and thus allows for healthier and lighter cooking. In the electric version, plancha appliances are quite easy to transport and can be installed anywhere, indoors or outdoors, provided of course that they are close to an outlet. It is therefore an ideal alternative to the barbecue, especially in smaller spaces.
How to make a summer meal a la plancha?
Skewers, grilled vegetables, meats, fish or even seasonal fruits: the plancha offers endless possibilities in terms of recipes and combinations.
For more flavor, do not hesitate to marinate the chosen foods the day before, using a sauce of your choice. A yogurt-based marinade, for example, will soften pieces of chicken. For fans of Asian cuisine, we use the many sauces and spices imported from this region of the world such as soy sauce, teriyaki, curry, or ginger. Pesto, for its part, is a classic of Italian cuisine that transforms any piece of meat or fish in no time.
To enhance everything, we flavor the preparation using fragrant herbs and plants such as basil, thyme, rosemary or Provence herbs.
Want a festive meal? Opt for a Mexican-themed dinner, based on tasty chicken tacos, grilled corn on the plancha and guacamole. And for a meal with Mediterranean flavors, there’s nothing like a nice plate of grilled eggplant with honey, sardines in olive oil and green olive tapenade.
