Ingredients
- 200 g freshly grated coconut
- 200 g caster sugar
- 10 cl of hot whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered cardamom
- 2 teaspoon(s) chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds or hazelnuts)
-
rose petals or lavender or marigold flowers for decoration
Preparation
-
Heat a heavy-based frying pan over medium-high heat, add the coconut and sugar.
-
Cook for 10 minutes.
-
Reduce heat to low, add hot milk (not boiling), cardamom and nuts.
-
Cook until the milk is absorbed.
-
Check if the mixture is ready: take a little dough, place it on a plate and try to make a ball. If it comes off easily, it's ready.
-
Let the dough rest long enough to be cool enough to handle easily.
-
Form 12 to 18 balls, depending on your preferences, and decorate with flower petals.
