Invented by Diego Fenoglio, born into a family of chocolatiers in Argentina, and founder of the Rapanui chocolate shop in Bariloche in the Patagonia region, Franuí is a sweet treat combining a whole raspberry covered with white chocolate, then a second layer of milk or dark chocolate. A very short recipe that proves that the simplest things are often the best. And the networks prove this adage right, since this delight to be found in the frozen section seduces everyone!
Yes, but there you go… if the product delights lovers of fruit + chocolate mixtures, it also seems that too much demand has often emptied the shelves. Disconcerted but not wanting to wait, many Internet users simply went to the kitchen! “You are never better served than by yourself”, another adage perfectly suited to the situation.
How to make Franuí at home?
Ingredients
- Frozen raspberries
- White chocolate
- Milk or dark chocolate
To satisfy a sudden craving for Franuí, all you need is some frozen raspberries, white baking chocolate and milk or dark chocolate on hand.
Dip the raspberries one by one in the melted white chocolate, then set aside on a plate.
When the white chocolate has frozen – if the raspberry is well frozen, the chocolate should freeze very quickly – we dip them one by one in the milk or dark chocolate, also melted.
Let it set on a plate then enjoy.
On the Instagram account of the Franuí.fr brand, the tasting advice is as follows: you must wait 1 hour before eating these bites for a perfect experience.
An easy recipe to adopt at any age, even if you don’t have a very equipped kitchen. Double bonus, if each reseller determines their own selling price, we are still on a price of €5.99 per 150 g box, or a little less than €40 per kilo. Some even go up to €9.50. A little expensive for raspberries, even chocolate ones…
