Between the falling temperatures and the sun playing hide and seek, fall brunch will quickly establish itself as the unmissable event of the weekend.
Seasonal products on the menu
Who says autumn, says seasonal products. Squash, mushrooms, apples, pears, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, not forgetting cinnamon, chocolate, honey, or even coffee, all these flavors are perfect this season. Although it is more timeless, cheese, especially melted cheese, has its place in an autumn brunch. Comforting and addictive, it brightens up any dish in the savory part.
Salty, sweet, all together
In the brunch game, everyone does what they want. Some prefer to serve the savory first and then the sweet, while others mix everything, hydrating themselves in no established order with coffee, tea, juice, and even cocktails!
Ideas for a fall brunch
For the savory part, why not add some pretty roasted mushrooms with parsley to your scrambled eggs? Or butternut pickles to wake up a burrata. Pancakes can also be transformed into seasonal delicacies, just include chestnut flour and/or powdered spices. As for juice, did you know that pumpkin is delicious in juice when it has been put through the extractor? Enough to immediately send the orange back into its fillets (or leave it to Michal!) For the cakes, we don’t hesitate to include pieces of apples or pears, cinnamon, but also pecan nuts, to a stunning dessert. Salted butter caramel is also a flavor that goes wonderfully with autumn flavors, especially fruits.
The rule of brunch is that there are no rules.
And the rule of fall brunch is to add seasonal flavors here and there to each preparation.
