A babka for the planet

While “Earth Day” will take place on April 22, The French Bastards bakeries are going further by offering an “Earth Month” around eco-responsible actions, in particular encouraging their customers to reuse paper bags or offering recipes for cooking yesterday's produce. Another gourmet action, the vegan version of their praline babka. A delight leading to a good deed, part of the sales of this product will be donated to the “Copains du Monde” association and beneficiaries of Secours Populaire, to introduce children to a mill that works with the brand, and the joy of harvesting .
Vegan praline babka, €3.90

Silverware and yassa chicken: Lafayette's
© Ilya Kagan @ilyafoodstories
The place : installed in a private mansion which was the festive residence of the famous Marquis de La Fayette. The baroque decor, redesigned by Catalan designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, warmly mixes silverware, chandeliers, gilding, moldings and contemporary art.
The plate : imagined by Mory Sacko, talented chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant MoSuke, who here abandons his Japanese inspirations to mischievously fuse the classics of chic brasseries and African perfumes. Irresistible, the pâté-crust with lemon and chicken yassa-style spices (€18), the flaky corn chowder (€14), a visual reinterpretation of the famous VGE soup (with black truffles) by Paul Bocuse which hides a corn soup, or again the tender yellow poultry from the Landes, mafé sauce and broken rice (€37).
The price : count between €50 and €80 a la carte.

A lover of Italy and the Riviera of the 60's, Franck Lebraly often collaborates with hotels, creating sunny and joyful murals.
His new exhibition is on view until March 31 at the Hôtel des Académies et des Arts (15, rue de la Grande-Chaumière, Paris-6e; flebraly.com). The painter Guy de Malherbe likes to draw inspiration from living things. To create his latest paintings, he immersed himself as much in the Normandy coast as in the icebergs of Patagonia or the shores of Cadaqués. He also knows how to capture
the pure beauty of an oyster or a vegetable in its simplest form.

Chef brunch
© Simon Detraz
The slightly outdated brunch regains its letters of nobility thanks to the imagination of great chefs: at Paris Pavilion (8, avenue Dutuit, Paris-8e), Yannick Alléno offers a starred version with salmon, warm aniseed blinis and a perfect omelette with Colonnata bacon.
Brunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower is possible thanks to Thierry Marx. At the house of Madame Brasserie (on the 1st floor of the tower, Paris-7th), overlooking Paris, you can enjoy a savory waffle served with blue lobster or eggs Benedict accompanied by Île-de-France trout.

At the house of Sapid (54, rue de Paradis, Paris-10th), the chic refectory of Alain Ducasse and Romain Meder (4), we choose from two savory or sweet buffets, stocked with gourmet dishes made from products from sustainable agriculture .
Finally, at Silencio of the Meadows (22, rue Guillaume-Apollinaire, Paris-6e), after a roast chicken with truffles, we do a few dance steps. Something to (re)enchant Sundays!

The place : nestled in the K2 hotel with a view of the Courchevel slopes. Enveloping seats, soft lighting and chic sobriety.
The plate : it is unlike any other as the world of pastry chef Sébastien Vauxion is unique. After having seduced us with a remarkable dessert menu, he impresses with this restaurant where his talents reinvent the plant-based. The table may well mean sugar in Sanskrit, but we enjoy vegetables, fruits and roots in a savory version such as this goat's cheese combined with salsify, hailstones from toast, cranberries, tea and dogfish sorbet.
Sharp and delicate, like the service.
The price : €275 per experience.
