What’s more delicious than an aperitif? An autumn aperitif, of course! Discover our seasonal tips and recipes for aperitifs.
Handpicked guests
We are obviously not talking about your guests, but about the ingredients you will use to cook. For an autumn aperitif, we say goodbye to tomatoes and melons to make way for mushrooms, squash and nuts.
These fall fruits and vegetables have many benefits to make you forget about summer recipes. Firstly, they are seasonal, an essential criterion in cooking; secondly, they allow you to make delicious recipes such as veloutés, autumn tarts, creamy dips, etc. Finally, after the many tomatoes and mozzarella that delighted us this summer, we are delighted to be able to vary the menus with sweet and comforting flavors.
Gourmet recipes
Now that you know which products to choose, it’s time to select your recipes. For a festive aperitif, you can offer a farandole of appetizers and verrines. Autumn pizzas, pumpkin cake or even root vegetable tart… Dishes which have the advantage of being able to be prepared in advance, in large format. All you have to do is cut them into individual pieces and reheat them, if necessary, when serving. A time saver that saves us from last minute stress.
You can also offer an autumn aperitif board mixing cold meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Slices of apples, a bunch of grapes and a handful of nuts can accompany brie, raw ham or Normandy Camembert. The only rule in this matter is to please yourself.
To complete everything, we think about preparing some homemade chips and crackers, made from parsnips or sweet potatoes, to combine with dips. Spreads that can be easily revisited with seasonal products, for example by integrating squash or chestnut puree into hummus.
Easy and delicious, the autumn aperitif really has it all.
