Smart all-in-one meals
In the smart meal category, all-in-one oven mixes take home the gold medal. Quiches, tarts, spring pizzas, foccacias and even spring vegetable gratins, all put the beautiful season at the heart of the plate. Artichokes; asparagus; spring onions; baby spinach; beans; fresh herbs; or even peas, during this period, green is more relevant than ever! To accompany the vegetables, look for fresh cheese, a touch or more if you like, to brighten up the vegetables. Radishes should not be put aside this season either. Their crunch and spiciness add a real plus to our spring recipes.
Seasonal flavors
Another seasonal product that works wonders as a savory dish: rhubarb. Justly seasoned, the tangy stem surprises when combined with chicken. Celebrated on April 10, Easter also honors the lamb. The opportunity to prepare this meat simply by marinating it then putting it in the oven. Leg, chops, or other, the piece will depend on the recipe but also the longer or shorter cooking time in the oven. Spring fish is also one of the easy dishes to cook in the oven, just like homemade cordon bleu.
For lazy days, don't forget the casserole eggs which don't need a lot of additions to be splendid. Cream, cheese, wilted spinach, or a little tomato paste, you don't need much more to enjoy. Obviously, you can rely on a strong-tasting cheese like Camembert or blue to bring out the mild flavor of the eggs.
