Tartare is a great classic for party starters. When you have a lot of guests, you try to avoid endless washing up. So, we are moving towards disposable containers such as plastic or cardboard cups. But what do you do when you want to combine practicality and ecology? The recipe shared by @cheztiffany_ gives us the answer.
A natural container for a quick and easy recipe
Tiffany Siyaty (@cheztiffany_ on Instagram) invites us to travel with a scallop tartare combined with an exotic flavor: passion fruit. As a bonus, simply collect the passion fruit husks to serve this starter. Pretty, bold, and ecological: this idea can be used to make other recipes such as shrimp or salmon tartare.
The recipe for scallop tartare with passion fruit
For 2 people
2 passion fruits
6 to 8 scallops
1/2 lime
Coriander
1 tbsp. tablespoon of olive oil
Salt, pepper
Cut the passion fruit in half and core them. Reserve the cockles.
Cut the scallops into small pieces. Mix them with the passion fruit pulp, olive oil, a squeeze of lime, a little salt and pepper. Arrange the tartare in the passion fruit halves with a touch of coriander.
Editorial Tips
Add small cubes of pineapple or orange to bring more freshness and acidity. Alongside the pepper, add “passion berries” whose aroma is comparable to that of the eponymous fruit and will accentuate the taste of your preparation.
