Menu of the week: recipe ideas from Monday December 30 to Sunday January 5

We celebrate the New Year with a menu that is as delicious as it is festive.

After enjoying Christmas, we continue with the unmissable New Year’s meal. For the occasion, we pull out all the stops with a festive table and unmissable New Year’s Eve recipes. On the menu: gravelax salmon as a starter, and, as a main course, a delicious risotto with porcini mushrooms. To conclude gently, the all-chocolate cheesecake will delight gourmets. The rest of the week, seasonal vegetables are available in light winter recipes full of flavor. A great way to start this new year.

My shopping list for the week

This week, at the greengrocer, we put leeks, potatoes, salsify, endives, carrots, pumpkin, porcini mushrooms, beets, fennel, celery, cauliflower, shallots, garlic and onions in our basket. As for fruits, you will need apples, chestnuts, oranges, lemons and limes. Don’t forget the fresh herbs: dill, parsley, bay leaf, coriander, mint and sage leaves.

A quick detour to the butcher to pick up some chicken fillets and bacon. At the fishmonger, get some salmon, cod and shrimp.

Then, head to the salty grocery store to get spices: chili pepper, turmeric, cumin, cardamom, nutmeg, oregano. We continue by taking eggs, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, toasted salted almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, raisins, cornstarch, polenta, risotto rice, rice noodles, sesame oil, cider vinegar , white miso, soy sauce, mustard and coral lentils. Let’s move on to the sweet grocery store with white and icing sugar, brown sugar, dark and milk chocolate, chestnut cream, cocoa powder, petit-beurre type biscuits, honey.

Stop at the fresh produce section to pick up unsalted and semi-salted butter, liquid cream, Greek yogurt, milk, gorgonzola, parmesan, mascarpone, cream cheese (Philadelphia type), blue cheese, ricotta and reblochon.
