Smoked tofu stew with artichokes


  • 6 pieces of smoked tofu
  • 10 raw frozen artichoke hearts
  • 1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
  • 2 onions
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • 6 beldi lemons
  • 2 teaspoon(s) of harissa
  • 1 handful of green olives
  • 1 handful of frozen green beans
  • olive oil

  • salt pepper


  1. Cut the tofu into slices. Brown them in a pan with olive oil and soy sauce.

  2. Cut the onions into thin slices and crush the peeled garlic with the garlic press.

  3. Pour 4 tbsp. tablespoon of olive oil and brown the onion. When it is golden, add the crushed garlic then the turmeric, the lemons cut into slices with the harissa. Add salt and pepper.

  4. Add the artichoke hearts, olives and a little water. Leave to simmer for around 25 minutes.

  5. Place the frozen beans in the casserole dish and cook for 6 minutes. Add the browned tofu pieces and serve with steamed semolina, for example.
