October returns and with it all the magic of autumn, with its leaves reddened by the season and its comforting spicy flavors. Between gourmet books to leaf through, stunning tableware, festivals to discover, and expected reopenings, here’s everything we’re going to love in October.

The Rugby World Cup started in France on September 8. What if we treated ourselves to a delicious third half? We start with two works: “ The XV comes to the table » (ed. de La Martinière, €39), in which Philippe Toinard brings together juicy anecdotes and favorite recipes from 57 players of the France team, and ” La Grande Mêlée, cooking & rugby » (ed. Solar, €35) by Gilles Navarro, which brings together personalities, players and chefs, from Guy Savoy to Maïtena Biraben, around 60 recipes. Then, we set the table with the Gien x Vintage Sports humorous plates on stage the British lion and the Gallic rooster.
€36 for a set of 2 plates.

Several iconic establishments are reopening their doors. The La Tour d’Argent restaurant, after more than a year of closure, has been welcoming fans of duck au sang (the house’s cult recipe) since the end of June, with Yannick Franques still at the helm (in the middle of the photo). On the Place Vendôme side, Michelin-starred chef Eugénie Béziat (left) makes a remarkable entrance to Swordfish at the Ritz ready to receive gourmets since September 26. Finally, thanks to Paris Society, two key places are reborn from their ashes: Maxim’swhich will combine music and trendy dinners, and The Laurent on the Champs-Élysées, where Mathieu Pacaud (right) will revisit the classics of the great French brasserie.
