Scrambled eggs, synonymous with Anglo-Saxon brunch and breakfast, are a delicacy that would be wrong to leave out.
How to make perfect scrambled eggs?
The right ingredients
The great thing about scrambled eggs is that they don't need a lot of ingredients to be tasty. Fat for cooking, eggs, salt and pepper, it's perfect for the base! But you can also garnish them generously with cheese – cheddar, Comté, Abondance, feta – herbs and leafy vegetables – arugula, spinach, parsley, chives, coriander – spices – turmeric, smoked paprika, chili, curry – or even some vegetables like tomatoes or peppers, without forgetting the famous bacon, so dear to Americans. Scrambled eggs are an everyday dish that adapts to whatever you have within reach of a spatula!
Butter or oil?
When it comes to cooking, it is a good idea to add fat to your pan. Whether you choose butter, olive oil, or deodorized coconut oil, everyone does what they want. But without tongue in cheek, we must admit that it is the butter which will bring maximum deliciousness to the scrambled eggs, and it would be a shame to skip it.
Scrambled eggs with or without milk?
Depending on the recipe, milk is sometimes part of the ingredient list. This is more of a habit than a necessary ingredient for successful scrambled eggs. Indeed, if we play it purist, there is no need to add milk to its preparation to make it creamy, just don't overcook your eggs, and it will be perfect.
The ideal cooking of scrambled eggs
Once again, you have to choose according to your taste. Some people prefer very creamy eggs, others rather dry. In general, keep in mind that if the eggs are still shiny, they will be creamy and tender, and if they are dull, they will be more cooked and compact. But if you like creamy eggs, don't forget to serve them as soon as the result is suitable, to prevent them from continuing to cook in the hot pan.
So much for the method. The recipes are just below.
