A slimming menu to adopt in winter

We can talk about slimming, weight loss, rebalancing our diet and incorporating indulgence. With us, one never goes without the other anyway!

When we talk about “slimness”, we automatically associate many ideas linked to the field of “diet”. Restriction, feeling of hunger, sad plate, lack of taste, etc., are just a few arguments among many others. But paying attention to your plate for health reasons, or feeling better in your body, is perfectly compatible with joyful, colorful, surprising recipes, and full of flavor. It is even the condition sine qua non for lasting weight loss, which does not affect morale. Indeed, when you are losing weight, morale is often one of the factors of success. If we make dishes that make us smile while filling us, and don’t give us the impression of “being on a diet”, this is the best way to achieve our goal.

We also leave aside guilt, our best enemy! It is often the latter which puts us in strange states, and turns everything upside down at the slightest deviation. No, swerving is no big deal. No, this will not completely turn the tide. And yes, if you wanted to eat a little chocolate, or two, because you were stressed, you did very well. There’s no point in putting your morale at zero, it’s really not worth it.

Always remember that weight loss is not a sprint, but a marathon. This plays out over time. Starving yourself is never, ever, the solution. Being hungry, and suffering at night, thinking about what’s in the fridge, no more. Meals must be balanced, providing the nutrients and vitamins essential to our well-being, while ensuring our satiety. Choosing and cooking the right recipes is often the key to success!

A perfect menu for winter

When it comes to drinks, water obviously remains our best ally, but we can brighten up the story by adding ginger and lemon.

As a starter, we prepare an original spread based on ricotta and raw cauliflower, seasoned with garlic and onion. A delight to serve with endive leaves for example. one of the many winter vegetables we’re focusing on this season.

As a main course, two options: the quiche in a dough-free version with smoked salmon (or trout) and broccoli, ready in 5 minutes; or chicken stir-fried with vegetables and soy sauce. Two all-in-one meals, easy to make, that don’t cost a ton. It’s always better!

For dessert, in winter, no worries, we need vitamin C, so we trust the divine citrus segments, combined with orange blossom. Vitamin-filled and colorful. Second proposition with the cold fennel-orange broth which combines fruits and vegetables, centrifuged juice, and orange slices for an end to the meal, full of vitality.
