Simple or generously garnished, the pancakes appeal to their infinite possibility of variations. If the traditional sugar pancake remains a must, why not vary the pleasures with more daring accompaniments? Spreading pasta, jams, compotes or even flavored butters … Between revisited classics and unpublished associations, let yourself be tempted by these new fillings, always homemade.
Spread
Forget the industrial versions and dare homemade variations: praline chocolate, hazelnut, chickpea and chocolate … all highlighted with a touch of salt or spices. By preparing these delicacies yourself, you will more easily control the ingredients and in particular the addition of sugar or oil.
Jams and compotes
To make a jam is the good excuse to honor seasonal fruits: pear, apple, citrus, mango … Everything is allowed! On the compotes side, they bring a welcome lightness and harmonize wonderfully with lukewarm pancakes. More vitamin, less sweet and just as tasty, compotes are certainly a very good alternative to jams, but above all the perfect accompaniment to reduce the glycemic index of your pancakes.
Flavored butters
You already knew the butter-succre pancake, delicious mixture of salted butter-preferably-and sugar? This is the same principle, but with an already flavored butter: vanilla butter, sesame, lemony or nuts. Here it is even better because our recipes are vegan and adapt to all diets.
