Dark chocolate marble cake

Ingredients

  • 80g dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 120 g of liquid cream
  • 120 g of semi-salted butter + a little for the mold
  • 220 g flour + a little for the mold
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

Preparation

  1. Butter and flour a cake mold, set aside in a cool place. Preheat the oven to 165°C (th. 5-6).

  2. Melt the butter. Beat the eggs with the 150 g of sugar: the mixture should become foamy.
Add the cream, half the melted butter then the sifted flour and yeast. Divide the preparation between two salad bowls.

  3. Mix the vanilla sugar with one of the preparations.
Melt the chocolate with the remaining butter and mix with the other preparation.

  4. Pour half of the vanilla mixture into the mold, then half of the chocolate mixture; repeat the operation with the rest of the preparations. With a spoon, go from bottom to top in the dough to create the marbling.

  5. Bake for 50 minutes – the blade of a knife inserted into the marble should come out dry.
