This year, we’re focusing on a traditional Christmas meal with a terrine of homemade foie gras with cognac followed by a good truffled chicken garnished with citrus fruits to refresh the whole thing. Easy and foolproof holiday recipes to welcome the new year with open arms.

Your shopping list for the week
For this very special week, start by visiting your primeur and stock up on clementines, grapefruit, oranges, and lemon but also pears, apples, mangoes, lychees, pineapples and chestnuts. For vegetables, the list is long. We think of beets, parsnips, shallots, onions, carrots, leeks, sweet potatoes and potatoes, butternut squash, celery and rabe, pumpkin, kale and salad.
Above all, don’t forget the aromatic herbs and others spices. Dill, mint, coriander, parsley, chervil, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf and sage, but also cinnamon, nutmeg, curry, chili, zaatar, paprika, Espelette pepper, cardamom, vanilla and tonka bean.
Side butcher’s shop, have some chicken and bacon. Also remember to have a good foie gras. Then go to the fishmonger to pick up pieces of cod and sea bream as well as tarama.
The radius fresh productsyou will need parmesan, crottin de Chavignol, liquid and thick crème fraîche, butter, goat’s and Greek yogurt, feta, milk and vanilla soy milk, mascarpone and cream cheese Philadelphia type.

And finally, don’t forget the eggs.
For the cocktails and other alcoholic celebrations (always in moderation), bet on the traditional champagne, but also on gin, cherry liqueur with eau-de-vie and cognac.
