Are you getting ready to head off on vacation? Here are some ideas for little pleasures to take with you, something to last you on the road. We save money, with 10 recipes for little homemade pleasures.
No more industrial cakes, make way for small, healthy pleasures made by ourselves. We take these few fruits that remain at home so as not to throw them away and we go to the stove to empty our cupboards before leaving and treating ourselves.
Snacks in the car: a whole strategy
Biscuits on the road are good, if you don’t put them everywhere, it’s even better. We protect both our car from crumbs and our peace of mind in the face of possible traffic jams, with small comforting and practical pleasures. To do this, avoid shortbread, puff pastries and large pieces of cake which crumble at the first bite. We anticipate the scorching heat and we cross the chocolate bar off the list of things to take, since there is a strong risk of melting. An inconvenience to avoid, especially when you can’t easily wash your hands!
The idea: to do with the means at hand. We therefore favor soft, even half-baked cookies, over dry cookies that crumble, and we opt for miniature muffins. The trick behind mini-cakes or brioches? We only take a bite out of it. No need to place your hand under the cake when tasting it in anticipation of falling crumbs. Practicality guaranteed!
To avoid waste lying around in the car until the next gas station, we keep our cakes in boxes. Cut out your brownie pieces in advance to place them there and all you have to do is help yourself.
Small appetites for all types of desires
Whatever the conditions of your journey, whether it is going to be long, fast, calm or winding, we offer you all types of little pleasures. While muesli or cereal bars will provide energy and vitality; a few financiers and madeleines will be perfect for those with a sweet tooth. It’s summer, so we incorporate lemons and raspberries into our recipes, bringing freshness and color.
