What can you replace wheat flour with in a chocolate cake?
Many recipes for cocoa desserts without wheat flour exist. And most of them can be prepared in just a few minutes.
Almond or hazelnut powder, chestnut cream, cereal flakes, cornstarch, legume puree, grated vegetables, grated coconut, many ingredients can be used to replace wheat flour. Be careful though, some of them change the taste of the preparation, compared to flour. The texture of the dough can also be modified, so care must be taken to maintain a balance between dry and moist elements.
Long live flourless chocolate cakes
The name “chocolate cake” includes many sweet treats. If cake, fondant, soft, and semi-cooked – made from flour, butter, eggs, sugar, milk, or even cream – are the first images of dessert that come to mind. We also think of mostly gluten-free recipes that are prepared without flour, such as mousse-like desserts made from whipped egg whites or whipped cream like cloud cake, but also cheesecake, or even no-bake cakes (also called fridge cakes).
