Seasonal desserts
When autumn rears its ugly head, it never comes alone. Figs, plums, grapes, and even apples appear on our plates. These fruits fit perfectly into crumbles. On the other hand, to prevent the fruits from releasing water, brown them beforehand with butter and sugar in a pan. Don’t forget to remove excess water before putting them in the dish. Another easy tip: add cinnamon, perfect for welcoming fall. The fruits will also make delicious tarts with a base of almond or hazelnut cream. For those who are nostalgic for summer and want to take advantage of the sometimes mild temperatures in autumn, we offer you a recipe for mirabelle plum semifreddo with star anise. For its part, upside-down cake, whether apple or pear, is appreciated as much for its taste as for its aesthetics. Add a little brown sugar to the bottom of the dish before placing the fruits so that they caramelize and provide a melting and crunchy appearance in the mouth.
How to enhance your fall treats
With the days getting shorter and the temperatures dropping, we need to comfort ourselves. In autumn, we appreciate recipes that are tasty and sometimes even spicy.
