Pomegranate jelly

Ingredients

  • 6 sachets of 25 g each of plain gelatin
  • 1.4 liters of cold pomegranate juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) of powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoon(s) pomegranate seeds, for decoration
  • 1 tablespoon(s) slivered pistachios (optional)

Preparation

  1. Whisk the gelatin with 25 cl of pomegranate juice in a salad bowl until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  2. Pour the remaining pomegranate juice into another salad bowl and heat over medium heat. Add the powdered sugar, then bring to the boil, stirring constantly.

  3. Slowly incorporate the pomegranate juice-gelatin mixture and mix until the latter is completely dissolved.

  4. Pour everything into a large dish or ramekins. Leave to set for 4 hours in the refrigerator.

  5. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and possibly pistachios before serving.
