Grilled Club Sandwich with Pastrami, Coleslaw and Cheddar

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of sandwich bread
  • 1 carrot
  • 100 g of white cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon(s) of cottage cheese

  • a few sprigs of chives

  • 1/2 lemon

  • 4 slices of pastrami
  • grated cheddar

  • a few salad leaves such as rocket or lamb’s lettuce

  • salt, pepper

Preparation

  1. Peel and grate 1 carrot and 100 g of white cabbage. In a salad bowl, mix the grated vegetables, 2 tbsp of mayonnaise, 1 tbsp of fromage blanc, a few sprigs of chopped chives and the juice of 1/2 lemon. Add salt and pepper.

  2. Assemble each sandwich with 3 slices of sandwich bread: start by spreading the coleslaw, then add 1 slice of pastrami, grated cheddar and a few salad leaves such as rocket or lamb’s lettuce. Arrange the second slice of bread and repeat the operation. Finish with a slice of bread. Cut the sandwiches in half, diagonally.
